AI Detection for Teacher
In today's digital classroom, educators face the growing challenge of AI-generated assignments. Our AI detection tool is specifically designed to help teachers maintain academic integrity while fostering genuine learning. With features tailored for educational environments, you can quickly identify content created by ChatGPT, GPT-4, and other AI models, allowing you to have productive conversations with students about original thinking and proper research methods.
Challenges Faced by Teacher
Rising Use of AI Writing Tools
Students increasingly turn to ChatGPT and other AI tools to complete assignments, making it difficult to assess their true understanding and writing abilities.
Limited Time for Manual Review
Teachers already face significant time constraints and can't manually investigate every suspicious assignment for AI-generated content.
False Accusations Concerns
Without reliable detection tools, there's a risk of wrongly accusing students, especially ESL learners or those with developing writing skills.
Maintaining Academic Standards
Schools and districts expect teachers to uphold academic integrity while also embracing educational technology appropriately.
Benefits of Using AI Detection
Benchmark-Tested Detection
95.2% accuracy and 3.1% false positives in our April 2026 benchmark of 500 texts (full results at /ai-detector-accuracy-benchmark). No detector is perfect, so treat a score as a starting point.
Sentence-Level Analysis
Get detailed, sentence-by-sentence breakdown of potentially AI-generated content, allowing for nuanced feedback and discussion.
DOCX and PDF Upload
Paste text or upload a DOCX or PDF exported from your LMS; long documents are scored section by section on Pro (up to 25,000 words per scan).
Shareable Reports
Every scan produces a report link you can keep with your notes or share with a colleague or department head.
Free to Start
3 credits at signup plus 1 free credit every day on the Free plan (500 words per scan); Pro is $9.99/month with unlimited daily credits.
Check Where You Read
A Chrome extension and a Word plugin let you check text inside the browser or Word without switching tabs.
How to Use AI Detection as a Teacher
Set Clear Expectations
Tell students at the start of term how AI may and may not be used on each assignment, and that submissions may be checked.
Paste or Upload a Submission
Copy the text or download the DOCX/PDF from your LMS and upload it. No integration or setup is required.
Read the Sentence Map
Each sentence is highlighted with its own AI probability, so you can see which passages drive the overall score.
Save or Share the Report
Keep the shareable report link with your records or pass it to a colleague before you talk to the student.
Create Teachable Moments
Use detection results as opportunities to discuss academic integrity, proper citation, and the ethical use of AI in education.
Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is your AI detector for student work?
It scored 95.2% accuracy with 3.1% false positives in our April 2026 benchmark of 500 texts (see /ai-detector-accuracy-benchmark). Short, formulaic or heavily edited writing is harder for any detector, and detectors in general flag non-native English writers more often, so use the sentence-level view and talk to the student before acting on a score.
What does it cost for a teacher?
The Free plan gives you 3 credits at signup plus 1 free credit every day (500 words per scan). Pro is $9.99/month, or less on the annual plan, with unlimited daily credits and scans of up to 25,000 words. There is no institutional licence at the moment; each teacher uses their own account.
Can I integrate this with my school's learning management system?
Not yet. There are no Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle or Google Classroom integrations today. Download or copy the submission from your LMS and paste or upload it here; the Chrome extension and Word plugin also let you check text where you already read it.
How can I explain the use of this tool to my students?
Be transparent: say which assignments may be checked, that the tool highlights sentences rather than issuing a verdict, and that a flag starts a conversation rather than ending one. Students can run their own drafts through the free plan before submitting.
Is student data kept private and secure?
Submitted text is processed to produce the report and is not used to train our models, and data is encrypted in transit. We do not claim FERPA certification; if your institution requires a data-processing agreement, check with your administration before pasting identifiable student work, or remove names first.
