FAQ
AI detector questions, answered.
- Is this AI detector free?
- Yes. You can scan text without an account, and a free account adds daily credits. Pro removes the daily cap and raises the per-scan limit to 25,000 words.
- Is an AI tracker the same thing as an AI detector?
- Yes. "AI tracker", "AI checker" and "AI content detector" all describe the same job: estimating how likely a passage was written by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another model. This page is a free AI tracker with sentence-level highlighting.
- Which AI models can it detect?
- ChatGPT (GPT-4o, GPT-5), Claude, Gemini, Llama, DeepSeek and Grok, plus text that was generated by one model and paraphrased by another. Coverage is re-tested every month in our public benchmark.
- Is there a word limit?
- Guest scans take up to 500 words and free accounts up to 1,000 words. Pro scans up to 25,000 words in one pass, and long documents are scored section by section so a single long file is not flattened into one number.
- Can it detect humanized or paraphrased AI text?
- Often, yes. The judge looks for the tells humanizers leave behind: odd synonym swaps, flattened rhythm, filler hedges and clipped sentences. No detector catches every rewrite, so read the sentence highlights rather than trusting the single number.
- How should I read the score?
- 25 or below reads as human, 66 or above as likely AI, and anything in between means mixed signals, not a verdict. Results are most reliable on 300+ words of continuous prose. Treat any single detector, including this one, as one signal and not as proof.
- Is my text stored?
- No. Text is processed for the scan and is not used to train models. Signed-in users can keep a private scan history that only they can see.
