How accurate is your AI detector for student work?
It scored 95.2% accuracy with 3.1% false positives in our April 2026 benchmark (500 texts). Short, formulaic or heavily edited writing is harder for any detector, and non-native English writers are flagged more often by detectors in general, so use the sentence-level view and talk to the student before acting on a score.
What does it cost for a teacher?
The Free plan gives you 3 credits at signup plus 1 free credit every day (500 words per scan). Pro is $9.99/month or less on the annual plan, with unlimited daily credits and scans of up to 25,000 words. There is no institutional licence at the moment; each teacher uses their own account.
Can I integrate this with my school's learning management system?
Not yet. There are no Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle or Google Classroom integrations today. The workflow is to download or copy the submission from your LMS and paste or upload it here; a Chrome extension and a Word plugin are also available for checking text where you already read it.
How can I explain the use of this tool to my students?
Be transparent: say which assignments may be checked, that the tool highlights sentences rather than issuing a verdict, and that a flag starts a conversation rather than ending one. Students can run their own drafts through the free plan before submitting.
Is student data kept private and secure?
Submitted text is processed to produce the report and is not used to train our models. Data is encrypted in transit. We do not claim FERPA certification; if your institution requires a data-processing agreement, check with your administration before pasting identifiable student work, or remove names first.
